Lippa’s paintings encapsulate the spirit of contemporary life. Her strong, boldly colored paintings and unusually descriptive compositions emote human drama. Deftly utilizing her eyes and the eyes of the camera, she edits and abstracts from our sensory overloaded urban environment a moment of time, chance, opportunity and experience. Her photographs are a starting point rather than a destination for her paintings. The fleeting moments she captures become both metaphor and narrative.
