As the title, “A Sacred Place,” implies, there is a prevailing spirituality in Myung-Ock Lim’s work. The space opens up through simple lines on the wall signifying journeys and passages while the optic glass suggests a hope for salvation through the form of crystal and the light it generates. The artist creates an environment in which both she and the viewer can examine the existential meaning of life.
