My paintings and sculptures juxtapose areas of color and patterns that refer to nature, the source of inspiration of my work.
Walking a fine line between representation and abstraction the work seems to penetrate multiple levels of information not normally visible to the naked eye. They are composed in a way suggesting that the works are part of a much larger whole.
Every creation originates from the freedom of the process of painting, confronting myself with the material properties of the medium through the unexpected effects of the process to turn later into a more cerebral, intricate calculated dimension.
The work is a combination of organic shapes that allude to roots, plants, foliage, volcanic eruptions and other natural phenomena, organized in a manner that gives way to different narratives.
